Kimberly R. H. Niesel, CMCA

Kimberly R. H. Niesel, CMCA® is a Business Development Officer for SmartStreet, the community associations division of First Capital Bank specializing in banking services for management companies and self-managed communities.  Ms. Niesel has enjoyed the banking industry since joining the SmartStreet team in October of 2003.  Prior to banking, she spent twelve (12) years of her career as part of the on-site management team for a Large-scale community in Newport News, Virginia.  Ms. Niesel started with the Developer of that community as part of American Property Services for four (4) years and transitioned to the Homeowners Association where she served eight (8) years.   Ms. Niesel enjoys her affiliation with many CAI chapters and continues to be an active volunteer.   

 

Catherine Melton, CMCA, AMS

 Catherine Davis-Melton, CMCA, AMS comes to the Central Virginia Chapter of Community           Association Institute (CVA-CAI) with over 20+ years of experience in business administration. Catherine is currently serving as the CVA-CAI Board Secretary and Chairperson for the Consensus Newsmagazine, Website and Directory Committees and is a volunteer member of the Membership Committee.  She began her career in the community association management industry in Hampton Roads, Virginia and have served as Chairperson for the Southeastern Virginia Chapter of CAI (SEVA-CAI) Current’s Magazine for two years, named 2005 SEVA-CAI Recruiter of the Year and was inducted into the National CAI Recruiters Club, served as volunteer member of the SEVA-CAI Membership and CA Day committees.   She currently holds the Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) and Association Management Specialist (AMS) designations and has completed several PMDP (Professional Management Development Program) courses working towards the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation through CAI.  

 

 

Jerry M. Wright, Jr., Esquire

Jerry is a Senior Associate with the law firm of Chadwick, Washington, Moriarty, Elmore & Bunn, P.C. He practices in the firm’s Richmond (Glen Allen) office. His practice is devoted to community association law and real estate law. Jerry provides counsel and advice to the firm’s clients regarding general community association issues, general real estate issues, litigation and collections. Because Jerry came to the firm from the Supreme Court of Virginia, where he served the Court for six years as its Senior Staff Attorney, he also provides counsel from an appellate perspective to the firm’s litigation clients.

Jerry is an alumnus of James Madison University (B.B.A. 1986) and University of Richmond, T. C. Williams School of Law (J.D. 1991), where he was a member of the University of Richmond Law Review and the Honor Court. He is admitted in the Supreme Court of Virginia and the United States of Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the Real Estate Sections of the Virginia State Bar and the Bar Association of the City of Richmond.

Jerry recently finished his tenure on the Board of Directors for Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity, where he served for four years, including serving as President during 2005-2006.

 

Michele Schirf, CMCA

Michele Schirf is a community manager for a Richmond based developer. Michele has over six years of combined experience as a community manager and/or serving as Association president and vice president for her own Homeowners’ Associations in Virginia and North Carolina. Michele has received her Certified Manager of Community Association designation from Community Association Institute. Michele was appointed to the board in 2005 to fill the vacancy of a director.

 

Steve Hein

Steve Hein is the manager of Ford’s Colony at Williamsburg Homeowners Association, as well as two sub associations. He is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA ®), Association Management Specialist (AMS ®), and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM ®). CAI awarded Ford’s Colony the 1999 Community Association of the Year and the Community Association Hall of Fame in the year 2001.

Steve received a BS in Management from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1974, and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1982. He completed 26-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard in 2000.

Steve has been a member of the Central Virginia Chapter Programs Committee and currently serves as the Chair of the Membership Committee.

Kevin is the owner and President of Virginia Lake Management Company that was founded in 1998.    Virginia Lake Management Company is a full service lake and pond management firm devoted to providing its customers with the most complete array of aquatic product and services.  Virginia Lake Management Company is also a national distributor for most of the major manufacturers of aquatic products.

Kevin is a member of many leading trade and professional organizations and remains on the cutting edge of technology, product innovation, and service improvements in the aquatics industry.  He and his company work with many leading aquatic product manufacturers to perform aquatic studies and field research for many of the new products being introduced into the market.  He has been a speaker at many trade and professional shows and conferences.

His licensing and industry accreditations include:  Certified Aquatics Pesticide Applicator for Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, SePRO Certified Preferred Applicator, AquaMaster Certified Sales, Service & Repair and Otterbine Factory Service Certification.
